Racing - I lost all of the races. Not in a bad way.
Deer Trail RR (Colorado Road Race Championships) - 7th
- Hard duckin road race here. Pulled on the front for a while and then made the front group through the crosswinds. After that I helped out my teammate, Nick SHORT SOCKS(but still strong like bull) Bax take the Colorado state road race championships (a geographical/occupational loophole yet a state
championship nonetheless).
Soooooo Short
Colorado State TT Championships - 5th
- Went hard. Felt strong like bull. Ended up fifth. Very happy to have three teammates in the top 5. Also a huge congrats to Jim OMFG FAST Peterman for taking the state title. That makes it two state titles in two weeks for Rio. People in Colorado can time trial.
My Exact Thought After Seeing Jim's Time
Future Races - Hopefully I don't lose all of them. Winning a bike race is difficult.
Nationals
- I'm heading out to Madison now. Very excited to have my parents out there to cheer me on. My mom tends to say things akin to "are you sure you want to race? Do you want to just go eat dinner instead? I'll still love you if you don't race." That can be a real pain in the ass on the start line at nationals. Still, I'm excited to have them there to watch me race. Look out for another PRO as shit blog post from the Madison airport late this week.

This Is How You Lose Her - Junot Diaz
- Read it. You won't regret it. Told in anachronistic snap shots throughout the life of the narrator. Solid stuff. Also available in Asi es como la pierdes.
Wild - Cheryl Strayed
- I didn't like it. A lot of people do.
